The Book

The Book

The Fabric is a book about what organisations never quite notice they are missing.

Every operating model, every restructure, every transformation programme targets the formal layer, the boxes, the reporting lines, the process maps. What determines whether any of it actually works is a different layer entirely: the rhythms people work to, the relationships decisions travel through, the small behaviours that tell everyone what is really rewarded here. That layer is the fabric, and organisations that ignore it pay for it later, usually with heroic effort and quiet turbulence.

The book is being written and released here, one chapter at a time. A new chapter every week. It is free to read now and will remain so.

If you're arriving mid-way, start at the beginning, the chapters build on each other, and the argument only lands if the sequence is intact.
